“ Small poke bar in the heart of Kingston with ramen as well. I got a standard bowl and it tasted fresh. Seating is a little tight but it wasn’t crowded enough to be a large issue. Didn’t try the ramen but that looked good as well. Staff was friendly. Miso soup was good as well! Pop in if you want some fresh lunch. ”
“ I love this place! I generally order one of the poke bowls and the pork bao buns! Edit: yes I definitely need to try the ramen! Also need to visit for weeb Wednesdays and one piece days; just nervous as I’m definitely newer to anime. ”
“ To say that I love this place would be an understatement. You know how pregnant people will often order a sushi boat after they give birth since they can’t have raw fish while pregnant? Well, a Poke Bowl at Capital Poke is my sushi boat. I am currently pregnant and am praying the next 6 months go by as quickly as possible because one: pregnancy is no joke but two and more importantly: I can NOT wait for my post pregnancy Poke Bowl. With that being said the non raw fish options are also top notch. I’ve been holding off on getting their pork buns because I know for a fact that as soon as one of those bad boys gets past my lips and do their little dance on my tongue it’ll be the only thing I will crave for the duration of my pregnancy. I adore this place, everything about it. The dedication not only to their customers but especially to their craft is absolutely unmatched. 37/10 would recommend. Thank you for what you do. ”
“ Amazing variety of poke ramen and Asian snack foods, almost everything can be made vegan and their selection of toppings at the poke bar is perfect for everyone of different tastes. They have both vegan seitan and tofu, but with so many toppings it's not even needed. Very reasonably priced and always fast and delicious ”
“ Loved First Capital Poke Bar! Very good vibes at this little Poke Shop in Kingston. The Great: more toppings and options than usual, with Japanese and Korean elements that aren't typical in poke bowl establishments yet to my experience. Unlimited options for toppings BUT they charge 1 for the Seaweed Salad (which most places give for free). The Poke Master Daniel was awesome and had great vibes as well, tolerated my questions and comments with good energy, which I appreciate. The portion of rice was a little smaller than I'm used to, but still plenty and I'm completely full after eating my bowl. The scoop size they use seems a little smaller than other establishments, my guess would be it's be a 2oz scoop instead of 3, HOWEVER a bowl starts at 10 and each scoop is 3 so a two-scoop bowl is the same price as a a regular bowl elsewhere. Would have liked a little more protein but these are expensive & fine ingredients, making a profit after food costs isn't easy. Lastly id like to compliment the care for presentation, each ingredient was carefully placed in my bowl and it came out beautiful, definitely a touch that many pokebowl restaurants don't always have, so I appreciated the effort. First, we eat with our eyes. All in all a great experience and I'm sure I'll go back again some time. Thanks First Capital! Lastly, I've ”
“ So fresh and delicious, every single time. Build your own bowl is my go to- the pineapple miso on tuna and crab? Perfection. But my favorite? Hands down the Ramen. The tonkotsu broth is absolutely delicious. The eggs cooked perfectly every time. The bowls are so generously sized. Go down, grab a sake, & have a bowl. If you're lucky enough to arrive when they have the little Portuguese donuts, grab some of those too- you will not be disappointed, I promise. ”
“ My friend recommended the musubi and onigiri here, and I can wholeheartedly pass that recommendation along!! Of the varieties I tried, the spam and egg musubi was my favorite — think musubi breakfast sandwich vibes. Something about warm rice is just the most satisfying thing, and they make it to order so it’s v fresh! ”
“ Two times I had ramen there and both good experiences. Ramen is thick and very tasty, portion quote large and great ingredients. Seems to be worked to the detail. Highly recommend and will return- both for delivery and to stay and sit on a cute outside table (wish there were more and wish inside tables was a bit more cozy to dine in). Overall great- ”
